Hi everyone, I'm Dani, I'm German with an English husband and daughter (5 1/2 months). I'm hoping to meet like-minded mums in my area (slim chane, I know) or make new friends in the glorious www. Anyway, off to read and snoop around. ;) (PS I don't know if it's my server but the post body seems to be a bit funny. Doesn't like me using the Enter button to make paragraphs, there's no curser etc weird...)

I'm an American living in Cambridgeshire with my French husband and 4 kids.

Where in Germany are you from? We lived in Leipzig and also in Saarbrucken before moving to the UK.

Hey..wow. Impressive moving-list. I like Leipzig. I used to live in Weisswasser (close to Goerlitz and Dresden), then Aachen (close to Cologne), then Jork (up near Hamburg) and then Berlin. :D

Not sure about the formatting issue you're having, but hopefully it will resolve.  My brother (an American) is now living near Manchester with his Italian-English wife. Not sure if that is near you or not!  From what I hear, the birth climate in Germany and England is much better than here, especially as far as the use of midwives is concerned.  But you should definitely find some like-minded folks here.  Glad to have you!

Thank you. :) No, unfortunately Manchester is not near me. I'm down in the South-East and M is more up north/west. The pregnancy care is a lucky dip really.

I was having similar trouble with posting, too. Try clicking on BB Code editor instead of using the Rich Text editor when you're replying. If you go to your profile at the top of the screen, and then choose "edit account details" you can scroll down to the editor type and change it there. Maybe that will help!

I'm Irish, living in the UK now with my English husband, though we lived in the Czech Republic for quite a while before moving back here.  Unfortunately, though, I'm all the way up in Liverpool. Pity, because I could use some like-minded mum friends too!
