How long would you wait to follow up - (job interview)?

I had a 2nd interview last Wednesday for a job that I really, really want!  At the end of that interview, they said that they wanted to have me come in and shadow a 1/2 day but I haven't heard anything.  The last two days, in our city, it's been really nasty weather and practically everyone was shut down.  This company is a small, local coffee company and I'm sure it affected their business as well. 

DH thinks that by Monday, at the earliest, I should I call.

I don't think I would wait that long. I'd give a quick call and say that your really excited about the opportunity to shadow for 1/2 day and want to know when a good time to talk more about it and schedule a time would be. If they are super busy as you suspect they will give you a day to call back and iron out the details, or they may just set something up with you right then.

I would call now as well. I read somewhere (cant for the life of me remember where, but it was during my last job hunt.) That it should be within 5 days not over 7?? My mom is a human resource manager for a large company and she agreed with that timeframe.

Well, I called yesterday and didn't mention anything about the shadowing...why? I have no clue. I was super nervous.  But just asked in general how things were going.  He said that they had a few more interviews lined up, that I would definitely know something this week and thanked me for calling.

Sooooooo...should I touch base on Thursday or Friday??
