Need help for my niece

Hi, I'm fairly new here....well, re-newed here. Was a member when my kids were babies a few years ago and I was cloth diapering them.  Now I am here because I am to be a great aunt way too soon and my niece wants to follow the example I set with my babies by going with cloth diapers.  She is due at the end of April and i am having a hard time finding cloth diapers here for her without spending a fortune (since i really don't know if she'll make a go of it, she's very young and ambitious).  This site was a wealth of information and support to me in my time and I'm hoping I may find some help here again.

Here is what I suggest for a new, young mom, who may or may not cd.

1 BG (or other brand) pocket diaper http://www.diaperpin.com/diapers/itemdetail.asp?id=1274

3 Thisties one size covers  http://www.diaperpin.com/diapers/itemdetail.asp?id=1487  http://www.diaperpin.com/diapers/itemdetail.asp?id=148

24 GMD prefolds http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/seconds.htm http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/seconds.htm

1 snappi    http://www.snappibaby.com/products/snappidiaperfastener.html

7th generation diapers for the first month- I think a new young mom has a lot to worry about. Plus, if you use these CD's they are likely to be pretty bulky for a nb. I bought all my cloth while I was pg, but for the first 3 weeks I used sposies and it was so much easier.

I think this list will cost less than $100, and its a good start. I CDed for the first two months with thirties covers and prefolds only, even though I had bought 9 BG pockets when I was pg. The bg's were just way too bulky for my 6 lb babe :)
