I had a checklist for my DH, and it was helpful.

I waited till i was in labor to get the bed ready as i had my support team...all prepared, that was thier job! The birth pool had been blown up at about 37-38 weeks. But other than that everything was in a basket in my bedroom waiting for baby! I did noticed that the water proof pad was very uncomfortable to sleep on. I slept on it the first night after baby came and the next day had to take it off. It was very hot.
