Help finding used Wool

Thread Starter

I am looking for used wool soakers and or wraps (like imse vimse).  I would even be ok with some fleece possibly...ideally wool though.  Anyway, I was looking on diaperswappers.com but am having issues with having to have certain number of posts before being able to pm a seller and other requirements....are there any other sites like this?  Or does anyone have other tips on finding wool that is used or just less expensive?

I have found Bumby soakers and am probably going to buy one from her site since they are less expensive than most.  I love the reviews and whatnot I've read about imse vimse and little beetle covers but would like to find them used if possible.  Apparently looking for size medium (for 17lbs plus) is crazy especially for a boy.

Help?

How about Spots Corner on hyenacart?  http://hyenacart.com/Spots_corner/

I've seen some on craigslist too but it really varies on what people are selling.  You could try the WAHM thread on DiaperSwappers too, I think there's probably some stuff like that.  Will DS let you send an email to the person via their profile?  I'd probably just do a few posts so you can PM though, it would be a pain but what can you do.

Oh, the other thing I just remembered is that sometimes online diaper stores have a gently used section, so maybe consider looking there too?

i think it is only like 5 posts for diaperswappers before you can send pm's.  i just went into some of the forums and joined a few discussions.

if you're a novice sewer you can make your own wool covers from recycled sweaters- most of our wool covers were from these patterns :

http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=508956

Both are extremely easy and totally addicting to make...I made like 5 pairs of pants for my little guy, and they mean so much more to me than the few that I've bought b/c I made them for him!

:)

i have seen used wool on craigslist, but that really depends on where you live.

diaperswappers is your best bet.

re-diaper.com is another place to find used...although i don't know how much wool they have and have never purchased from them.

Woops, sorry! I didn't see that someone had suggested it already.

There is also Cloth Diaper Nation and occasionally on The Baby Wearer in the other sales thread.
