Cause and Effect is so cool

I have started to notice my DD's ability to realize that when she does something, it makes something else happen.

Today I was bathing her in the sink and she turned the knob, which made water run down her back. I laughed and turned it off because she turned on the cold and I didnt want her to freeze. She looked right at me and turned it back on.

She squeezes her plastic fishy to suck up water and then shrieks in delight when she squeezes it again and water shoots out. When it stops, she dips it back under the water to do it all over again.

She stood at her leapfrong table for 30 minutes yesterday pulling a lever and watching s spinwheel spin over and over and over again, getting the same amount of joy each time.

Of course, this means she is also throwing everything on the floor and then shrieking until I pick it up......

But it's exciting for me to watch her make things happen!

This is tons of fun for me and DD too! I love how she studies things and then figures out how to make it happen on her own. The throwing down stuff for me to pick up is not so fun though! Hee hee :)
