Went in for a vag ultrasound today. They seen a fetal pole, and yolk sack.Embryo was mesuring in at 5 Weeks 6 Days. She looked for a HB,and found one.At first the ultrasound tech said she couldn't pick up a rate with my breathing. So she asked me to hold my breath in while she got one.It was only 70-71 BPM.She said that was low as did the midwife.Ugh I am stressing out.I seen its little heart going in,and out.Midwife said something about a possible miscarriage WTH.

With my last pregnancy (DD was born 12/6/10) our first u/s was when I was 6 weeks pregnant and her heart rate was only 120 bpm and by my next u/s it was only up to 125 bpm. By the time the doctor was checking her HR on the outside of my belly at 13 or 14 weeks her HR was up to 135 bpm or more....so yes it is a little low, but every baby is different and at least they did get a heart beat and see the baby. G/L and I hope that things just get better and better!!!! And remember some momma's don't see anything on u/s until 6 or 7 weeks....and it really is amazing how different the baby looks in just a couple of days!!!Â
I think it might have been too early to get a good heartbeat. Especially if they had a hard time getting it with your breathing. At my 7 week u/s, the first reading they got was 48 or so, and they redid it and it was 170. So, it's not perfect, especially that early. Good luck to you and I hope everything turns out ok.
