I'm in Louisville KY, they have a magnet public one here. Not commuting distance but your post caught my eye. http://brownschool.schoolfusion.us/

There is now a Montessori elementary school in Bowling Green--in its first year, teacher seems great, very motivated, has a terrific vision, progressive atmosphere and beautiful school building and grounds. Bowling Green Elementary Montessori School.

What is the groovy school your kids attend?

Oh, just realized you are elsewhere and figuring out kids' education if you move (a decision you've probably made by now, but I'm curious).

There are also good options in Nashville, if you would be closer to that town.
