Anyone start Vaxing after 3 yrs?  Why and what schedule did you use?  Have yet to vax my perfectly healthy child but an pondering her future with or w/o vaccines!  Did you get any test done to check out their immunity /gut before you started?

DD at age 3 started the dtap series without problems. She has had 2 doses. I will have her receive 1 more, then wait for a booster. I am considering mmr and hib too. Not sure.....

We didn't do any testing prior to starting the vaccines.

It would be nice to know if her body could support & filter out the crap they are about to inject into her!

But that's just it isn't it! If there was a way to know this, I think most people (if they believe vaccines are effective) would opt to vaccinate and offer their child some protection against diseases they might fear. But we cannot know and may never be able to know what effect the "crap" may have on our particluar child. It's a bit like Russian Roulette.

This is pretty much exactly what we are doing. Except adding Polio vax. My son turned 3 in November so we've just done 2 dtaps, I will focus more on the other in the spring/summer when flu/cold season cuts us some slack.

We are trying to get pox, hopefully we will have them out of the way in the next month.

I'm wondering which tests you would order to see if their gut/immune was working right? I've heard of the mannitol urine test for intestinal permeability but no others. We could use titers to see the immune response of vaccines but I'd love to know if there was anything else.
We were going to use a product like VacciShield to make sure to minimize any side effects but now I'm super curious about what else we could do.
Thanks!!!

How a bout a hair test to see what the childs metal levels are already.  Maybe a food allergy test to see if the gut is already overloaded by exposer to these foods.

I like the idea of heavy metal testing but I've heard hair testing isn't that accurate. Food allergy testing would be good because some vaccines use food sources i. e. eggs. Hmmmm, good info.
Thanks for the ideas!
