Jogging Stroller help please?

I'm having seller's remorse.  My mom bought me a BOB Revolution (pink! Love pink!) when my son was 2 months old and I never used it.  Literally, I used it maybe three times in the year or so that I had it.  I sold it about a year ago because I almost always wore DS or he'd walk.  Now, I can't wear both my huge 2.5 year old AND my 2 month old DD.

I am almost certain I want a BOB but do I want a single or a double?  I know that I will wear DD for quite awhile as I wore DS till he was 20 months and I was too pregnant to wear a 35 lb toddler comfortably.  The only time she'd ride in the stroller would be for jogging when she's old enough to jog with (when is that?)  Is a double stroller a PITA to push if only one kid is in it?

I do not go to the mall or anything like that, I don't need an "indoor" stroller.  I need a stroller to go on long walks, go to the park, hike, off-road, run (streets, sidewalks, paved trails) and go to the zoo/theme parks/etc.  I feel like I need a single and a double for different instances :/  Which would be a better buy?

I didn't do a lot of pushing with a double stroller, but I used to babysit for a family that had two kids once a week and I would push them in the double stroller.  It wasn't an easy task because the one kid was a lot bigger than the other so it wasn't balanced.  It might have been a cheap stroller though.

How big is your dd?  If she is a smaller child a single stroller and a backpack carrier may work.  I got a very nice backpack carrier at REI for my dd and weight wise she could have been in it until she was five.  Height wise it wasn't workable after she was close to four but by that time she could walk three miles a day easily.

I have a Baby Jogger City Series double, and it really isn't that difficult to push with one kid, although I do not run with it (it's not a true jogger anyway). My DD2 turned 3 last month, and I have to say, though, that she didn't ride in the stroller much last summer at 2.5. We went to WDW, and both the girls (4 and 2.5 at the time) rode there quite a bit, but that was a lot of walking.  I think you really might be better served by buying a good single with a toddler board unless you plan to actually RUN pushing both kids.  I can't tell you the last time I had my double out, even with the baby who is almost 5m because the girls prefer to walk, and I wear the baby.

I love my double Bob. It's a great stroller and is very easy to push and run with just one kid in it. For two kids who need an occasional ride to the park, on your long walk, run, etc., I think it's perfect. The double Bob is definitely not a mall stroller.

I have a single and a double BOB, I actually bought my double when DS was born and DD2 was 2.5. I use the double far more then my single still and they are 4 and 21 months now. We take long walks and the 4y tires out and it is perfect for sticking a bike/scooter or something in when a child decides they don't want to ride it anymore.
