Homeschooling on bedrest?

Thread Starter

Has anyone done this  before? I have a 9.5yo, almost 7yo and 3.5yo. We're working through 4th and 1st grade right now. I went into labor last week at 29w so I'll probably be on modified bedrest for the next 5-6 weeks (30.5w now). We're plowing through school on our sectional during the mornings since I figure that's at least one thing that CAN get done the next few weeks. But the kids are getting restless and I totally understand. Any interesting educational things we can do? Any tips? I'd love advice! Thanks!

Weather permitting, chuck them out into the backyard.

Perhaps some internet activities from here for your older two?  At least when the weather doesn't allow them to go run around outside.

Perhaps print out some numbers for a number line that goes throughout the house.  They can do addition, subtraction, and skip counting by jumping from number to number all around the house?

Have them prepare a play of one of their favorite story books to put on for you?

Good luck and happy resting!
