Nighttime marathon breastfeeding is a big problem

Thread Starter

My 17 month old wakes up during the night, generally by 1am and wants to nurse until 5:30 or 6am. I don't get it. He just started this past week. Both nights the last couple of nights, I have tried to cut him off at 5am and send him to another room to sleep, but last night, he refused. He screamed and cried until I let him come back (he was not CIO, he was with his daddy trying to sleep in another bed).

I have a shoulder problem so laying on the one side too long caused my arm to throb and feel as if the blood has run out of it and it is awful. Plus, I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and suspect that the further along I get, the worse I will feel. I need help. I don't want to wean him, but if that is really the best way to handle this, then I guess I will.

What do you think? Any help or suggestions?

Hi, i went through the same problem with my two until i changes my diet and supplement myself.  Take vitamin and magnesium(200-400g) and vitamin c.  also look into allergy testing. Its hard but supplements really help.  Somthing called Living Fuel drink, which i take. Google it.

Take Care.

Have you read Jay Gordon's night weaning article? It may have some ideas that could help.
