Is this Colic?

So last night I know my DS (3 mths) had gas.  I did everything I thought of.  I understand how it works I guess, but one thing that bothered me was he would not nurse.  He'd be okay holding him over my shoulderand patting his butt really hard.  But as soon as I tried to nurse him he wouldn't latch on and would scream.  Is that a sign of colic (or at least bad gas)?  I recently read taht the most common form of colic is 3 mth colic.  Eventually he fell asleep with out eating, but woke up an hour later to repeat everything again.  i got him to fall back asleep after 1/2 hour, but again he didn't eat.

I heard some farting, so I think that relieved the gas, but then this morning getting him to nurse again, even though he wasn't gassy, was horrible.

I recently started taking More Milk Plus to increase my supply - has anyone had troubles with gas with this?

Have you tried nursing him in an upright position?  That may help.  See http://www.biologicalnurturing.com/ for some ideas,

I think he was just gassy and I wouldn't say that was "colic".  By "three month colic" they mean that is usually lasts for 3 months and goes away around then.   Hope to night goes better!
