Should I try to induce AF??? B6 has made my cycles super long, advice please!

Okay so I was taking a vitamin b complex and it had 100 mg B6, I only took it for 2 weeks and it delayed my O by 6 days. I used to have a 28 day cycle and O on CD 14. Now I have a 34 day cycle from B6 and I O on CD19. I really want to get back to my regular cycle, do you think inducing it would make my cycles regular? this is month 3 of having a 34 day cycle. what is your advice??

Are you still taking the b6? I've had the same problem, I like the longer lp but the late o is getting me down. What were you taking the b complex for to begin with? Maybe just take it after o? Good luck!

If you had a 14 day LP, why were you taking so much B?

If you feel you need the B Complex for some reason, I would suggest you cut back to 50mg. 100mg is the highest recommended dose. I recently went up from 50 to 100 myself (after 2 years on 50), and had to cut back to 95 because of side effects (numbness in my foot/leg). I have a shortish LP, though, averaging 11 days.

well for some reason I thought I had a short LP phase and i didnt.....im uninformed about that. So I took 100mg B6 for about a week and it delayed O by 5 or 6 days.....thus making my LP 14 days....so I went from a 28 day cycle to a 34 day cycle for the past 2 months....I am not taking it anymore, only took it for a week....i figured out that it was the B6 that delayed O so much. Im done with b6 as I found out my luteal phase was fine to begin with...it was 13 days and I was reading everywhere on the internet that that was to short

So you stopped  taking the B Complex about 2 months ago? (Don't feel bad by the way, I made some pretty interesting mistakes for about the first 2 years of TTC!!!) Anyway, I don't think the B would still be effecting you. Are you taking anything else?

Hi,

I am only taking baby aspirin, and a b complex....it only has like 2 mg of B6. I am 8 months PP, I got my cycles back in September

I haven't a clue... Hopefully someone else has some ideas.

I don't really have an answer either. Hopefully it will regulate itself back to CD14 soon. I don't know how long the effects of B6 are supposed to last for. You'd think with just a week it would go back to normal. I know some of the ladies here take Soy Isoflavens to get a stronger (and maybe earlier) O. You could probably ask in one of the age specific threads or the one thread. Good Luck!

B6 did the same thing to me, it took a few months to stop delaying O so much. I wouldn't induce because anything that you would use for that might cause a whole new set of issues.
