I've seen similar recent posts but none addressing my baby girl's age or the working mama situation so I thought I would start my own post.

My dd just turned 1 in January. We co sleep and she has been eating food during the days since I started work in late November. Since then she went to breastfeeding on demand all day to breast feeding on demand evenings and weekends since I work full time Monday through Friday.

Lately however I have been losing my patience at night. It seems like she needs to be attached to the nipple to stay asleep and it is killing my back and shoulders and the constant waking is beginning to make me feel like a zombie! There has to be another way!

She does know how to fall asleep with others without nursing and will generally sleep well as long as someone is next to her. But with me she HAS to be on the breast. I don't want to give up nursing her completely, although these days its probably more comfort then nutrition but I really need to be able to sleep better to function. Also co sleeping is a necessity because of our living situation.

TIA!
