Mucus in poop... what could it be?

Ok, We've gotten rid of all dairy and soy and her "colic" is mostly gone and so is her rash ( whole body rash. I still have to block feed to prevent green poop....

She still has mucus in the green and yellow/brown poop... Does this mean she is still allergic to something?

How long has it been & how old is your babe? I think bad poop is generally the last symptom to clear up, so if it hasn't been that long and all other symptoms are gone, I'd wait a few weeks.

Avalon is 10 weeks old now. I think I have been completely dairy and soy free for around 3 weeks. If she had damage in her GI tract, then I guess it could take longer to heal, since it could take 2-3 weeks for all the cow milk protein to get out of my milk, right?

I think I read it could take that long, but I don't get why it takes that long...

If all the other symptoms are gone, I'd still give it more time. I know it's really easy to get sucked into obsessing daily about it (oh, how I know- it's been a year, and I still do it), but I think gut damage can take a while to heal. As an aside, mucous can be in response to anything that irritates the intestines, so even teething can do it.

This isn't directly related to your situation, but might give you an idea about gut healing time

eta- OT, but I really need to take my own advice to stop obsessing over day to day poop changes. :lol

Oh Wow. I just sent my sis to go get me some food at Whole Foods and she calls me telling me the mayo I asked for has "soy or canola oil" in it.

Argh!!! I've been eating it every other day pretty much. How stupid. I got rid of everything with dairy, first and I guess I missed the mayo when I got rid of soy. Of course, no way to know if there was soy OR canola in it but I am getting a different one now. Maybe the poo will clear up now...

I hate that. There are a lot of products that we use that say "soy or canola oil." Uh, you can't be more specific than that? Ftr, I've read that it's possible to be allergic to soy and still tolerate soy oil and/or soy lecithin. From what I gather, this is less likely to happen with intolerances.
