To breastfeeding? I ended up exclusively pumping w/ #1. It's going MUCH better w/ #2-who is almost 4 weeks old. But...how long should it take my body to get used to nursing? I'm still pretty sore/uncomfortable. Can't figure out if it's plugged duct or just body trying to figure out how much I need & how often. 4 weeks so far...should this go away soon?

Good for you for giving it a try the second time around! I also pumped for my first, and the second time I was DETERMINED to make it work. It's always seemed to me that it's around six weeks that the supply settles down, and things start to feel easier. Six weeks is also the time when they seem to hit their peak of fussiness, and start to be a bit easier to care for. So I'd suggest hanging in there for a few more weeks-- by two months, things should be much, much easier. .

Oh yeah, no giving up here-just wondered when it would feel better. Haha! I pumped for 11 mo & he had milk til 13 months I think. She's 4 weeks & I'm starting to feel a bit better. I try not to pump but every couple days-if our schedules get really off or I'm out of house & she has a bottle of it.
