I need to chat about everything Vax, all opinions welcomed!

 gah... I dont even know where to start! basicaly I would like some help and advice on vaxing, I have 3 kids, my oldest is fully vaxed, (6) my middle guy is except his kindergarten shot  (5)( we live in canada if this helps) and my daughter ( 2 1/2), due to medical issues at 2 months was not vaxed, and then thats where my reserch began, and I started to get scared about vaxing all to geather and regreting I ever did with the boys ( with the boys I felt like I was pessured, and it was the thing to do, I honeslty at that time in my life had never heard of unvaxxing your child, beleive it or not!!!! ).... the fear of having her un vaxed still scares me, and I worry if anything ever happend I would be completley upset and feel like I did not do my job to protect her...although I feel the exact same if something were to happen to her if she did get vaxed.... I need some real truthful answers here, what should I do.... we want to have more children, should we slowly start to vax, should I wait till they are older? I would love to know why if you were an anti vaxer before, why are you shifting towards vaxxing now.? I just want to be a good mom and protect my kids, and I feel like Iam torn in so many different directions, I need informative help and soon before I worry myself into the ground!

What really stands out to me is where you said, "I need informative help." Many people here distrust doctors, but IMO many (if not most) doctors have your child's best interest at heart. And they're usually informed about the vaxes and diseases, since they deal with them every day. Do you have a doctor that you really trust? Do you think that s/he would mind if you had a "talking" appointment where you could discuss all of your concerns? If you can, I would recommend writing down all of your thoughts, worries, confusion, etc. It's an involved topic and there is SO much information that one could easily forget something until later.

Did your sons have reactions to their vaccinations? Do they seem to be less healthy than your daughter? Are you less worried about them catching something than her? When considering their health, including vax status, do you feel uneasy about any of the kids? If so, that's probably a good indicator of what you don't want to do. Btw, you don't have to answer all of these questions, it's not an inquisition, haha. Just hoping that thinking about these things will guide you in the direction that is right for you.

happyhappymama- I think you are right to trust your intuition.  Read this article on aluminum & the infant immune system, it's a good start to understanding what vaccines do to the immune system.  I have numerous other links & data that I would be happy to share with you as well.  Dr Palevsky's website has a lot of good information in the "Resources" & "Articles of Interest" sections.

heathergirl67- I will have to respectfully disagree with you on Drs being informed on vax's & diseases.  They also get about a total of 2 hrs of training on nutrition, which to me should be the cornerstone of maintaining one's health.  Medical training views health from a very limited perspective IMO.  Yes, Drs get extensive training but it is far from comprehensive in certain areas.  I do believe that most Drs have your children's best interest at heart though.  No one becomes a pediatrician or family Dr to harm children.  That being said, Drs do make considerable money from vaccines & office visits for vaccines.  Also Drs are told in medical school that vaccines are great & most do not question this.  Drs also get most of their information on drug/vaccines from the drug/vaccines companies, who, in my opinion, are not to be trusted.  Vaccines are a multi-billion dollar business & it's a volume business, the more people who get vaccinated, the more money they make.  There are plenty of MDs & DOs who do not believe in the AAP vaccine schedule or vaccinating at all.  Dr Sears is a good resource as is Dr Lawrence Palevsky & Dr Randall Neustaedter.

I have done countless hours of research on vaccines (mainly from gov't websites).  The main things that I found are that VPDs are in general blown out of proportion, the chances of getting them in the US let alone dying or being permanently disabled from them, the "fact" that vaccines eradicated all VPDs, and so on.  The US vaccinates 2-3X more than other "healthier" countries (36 vax by age 1) & has 3-15X the autism rate of those other "healthier" countries.  I doubt you'll find a mainstream Dr who has ever looked into these statistics (and they are available on gov't websites) or has really looked at the inserts that come with vaccines.  Most Drs despite evidence to the contrary ignore vaccine reactions & therefore they do not get reported to VAERS & the like (it is predicted that only 10% of vaccine injuries are reported & 30000 vaccine injuries were reported last year alone). I could go on & on & on about this subject.  I believe in doing your own research & reaching your own conclusions & not putting too much trust in others.  Not that others are to be mistrusted, they may just have different information, values, motivations, etc.

This is from an "anti-vax" website, but the data can be corroborated elsewhere.  14studies.org & the Generation Rescue website I think are helpful, even though some may scoff at Jenny McCarthy.
