Baby number two on the way...how to move baby number one to her own room!

My 10 month old daughter alternates between sleeping in my bed or in her own bed in my room. With my second child on the way and being a single mom, I'm trying to convince myself to move her to her own room so that she's not woken up when the new baby gets here. I think I've watched to many scary movies or unfortunetly to much news, but I have these "phobias" of somebody climbing in her window or something equally horrible. Although I live in security watched housing, I still can't shake it. Any help or ideas for a smooth transition???

Are you set on moving her to another room?

I know it's totally not the same thing, but my partner travels a lot for his job and I find myself solo parenting a goodly chunk of the time.  I keep both kids in bed with me because it just feels safer that way.  They pretty much sleep through each other's nighttime noises/movements and have gotten really used to it.  Maybe the same could work for you?  Especially if you're nursing them both and the alternative would be the difference between rolling over or listening to a monitor all night and getting out of bed every time the older one wants to nurse.

Just a thought. :)
