Ugh. I think I'm going to need a new seat

My youngest is 25 months and RFing in a True Fit. The seat (at least two years ago when I bought it) RF's to 35 pounds. He is now 33 pounds and I'm thinking he will outgrow the seat RFing soon. So my question is where do we go from here? I don't want to turn him around...but I also don't want to buy another seat and only get half use out of each. I really bought this with long term use in mind.

I have to vent a little too. I'm really irritated because this seat had the highest RFing weight 2 years ago. It was basically the entire reason we bought it. Now here we are, barely 2, and he's about to outgrow it. And 35lbs RFing is nothing now. I know it nobody;s fault and that's just life, but it still irks me ya know?

MyRide, complete air, radian...

ETA:  I bought a TF for the same reason, one of the first ones that came out.  I've sense sold it for an XTSL which is going to last a looong time for us (ds is 25lbs at 3.5), I really like it.

You could buy the radian and use it with him and save the TF for the new babe. You could probably shift them back when the new baby gets to the 35lb limit and use the TF FF for DS, putting the baby in the radian RF. Just a thought.

What is the difference between these besides $100?

Is the radian the way to go? Or the complete air or my ride? Thanks so much!

The headwings.

The Complete Air is also an awesome seat at goes to 40lbs.  It'll last as long as the radian.

What vehicle are you using the seat in?

The radian can be a beast to install in some vehicles and it's very hard to get a more upright install with, so it takes up a ton of room front to back.

The Complete Air tends to install easier and more upright.  But it doesn't have a rfing tether or the steel frame.

So it's really what you want.  I've used both seats, and prefer the CA for a number of reasons, but others have used both and prefer the radian.

Thanks. I have a Ford Expedition. Whatever seat I choose will end up sharing the middle row with the True Fit. Thanks again.

I did the same thing (bought a TF 2 years ago figuring on it being DD's last seat).  We have two new babes now though, and what I did was buy a Complete Air (only $140 with the Babies R Us trade-in coupon) and kept the TF for one of the twins.  When DD hits 40lbs, I'll turn her FF in the TrueFit, then both boys can stay RF to 40lbs in the Complete Air.
