Doula Training the JJ Way @ Commensense School of Childbirth in Central Florida (Questions)

Has anyone done their doula training through this program?

There doing one next month and I'm considering it. I've been thinking about becoming a doula for two years now.

If anybody has any experience with this program I have lots of questions! I'll start with a couple:

How difficult was it to attend the required births and get the required hours? Are they very helpful with finding those opportunities?

After completion, how hard is it to find clients? Do they offer help with that as well?

Thanks in advance. :)

Hi!  I took the class back in August and really enjoyed it.  Kathy was an awesome teacher and I really found the information to be informative.

You will have no problem at all getting the required births.  :)  They are in constant need of student doulas because Jennie has the birth center right there and even handles pre-natal visits for patients birthing at the hospital.  As far as finding clients after completion, I'm not sure since I'm not at that point yet.  I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem though.

Good luck!

I don't know about the doula training, but I got the chance to meet the woman who created "the JJ way" this summer & she is AMAZING! I would do pretty much anything to get to hear her talk again...
