Moving Soon!!

So, me and my 3 boys have been staying with my parents since August since DH is deployed. We are heading back to Louisiana May 1st (YAY) and I am trying to figure out how to organize/declutter for this move. Me and a friend will be driving my jeep towing a 6x12 Uhaul trailer. We will also have a roof top carrier. Needless to say, I need to pack VERY well to fit everything.

Here is the furniture we have:

- queen mattress/box spring/frame

- night stand

- tall skinny dresser

- low long dresser

- 2 twin mattressed and frames

- crib and crib mattress

- a book shelf (if it will fit, if not I will replace it)

I also have to fit clothes (including tubs of clothes for the baby to grow into), cloth diapers, and toys. Am I right in thinking I can pack things inside the dressers to save space? What is the best way to pack stuff like toys? I know I need to weed thru clothes and toys... but I don't know where to start!!!

If some toys haven't been played with in awhile and won't be missed, toss them. You could fit a lot of small/med toys into an 18 gallon Rubbermaid container with a lid. That size runs about $10 at Wal-Mart, I think. After the move, you could use the containers to store toys in.

If you wanna go cheaper, call places like The Dollar Store and ask if they have any boxes you could have. Usually you can get them for free and you just have to pick them up.

I would think you'd be able to pack things in the dresser, as long as it's not tiny items or breakables. I hope that helps :)
