Need ideas to repurpose a really big bathroom mirror.

Ah, the joys of home remodeling.  ;)

I started the prep work on my bathroom today.  Long story short, after discovering I needed to replace the light fixture and taking that down we realized the gigantic mirror was being held in place by the light fixture.  Yeah.  I was stuck there for a few minutes, holding up the mirror that was too heavy for me to move until I got DH's attention.  LOL.

Anyways....took the mirror down.  Now I have no clue what to do with it.  It seems so wasteful to just throw it out.  Yet I think it is too big to transport to anyone else's house without breaking it.  It is just one of those large, frameless wall mirrors.

There is one spot in DS's play area I could mount it on the wall.  Not sure if he'd find that cool or not.  He's 4.5.

I thought of putting it in a closet but I'm afraid that will look silly unless it covered an entire wall.  It will come close but not quite.

Any ideas?

Do you have a space in a hall to hang it?  We've got one at the end of our upstairs hall, though the mirror is much taller than it is wide.  What about in one of your bedrooms or in the main living area?  By the front door?  Freecycle?

I've been taking my girls to a local pool to swim the past few weeks. The locker room there has a huge mirror that goes right to the floor.  We can barely get into the pool some days because the girls (4.5 and 1.5) don't want to stop dancing in front of the mirror.

If I had a large mirror I would totally install it at kid height!

My kids Love mirrors!  I'd use it in the playspace  :)   

Otherwise, if you have a space that need lightening up..an entry, basement, laundry....that might work, too.

Honestly, I think even in my house it is too big to hang as a normal wall/decoration mirror.  This sucker is BIG.

I do have one wall in the playroom it will fit on.  I can put it down to the floor and still have DS easily be able to have a full view.

Now I just need to convince DH to help me move it and hang it.

Assuming if I use enough mirror clips I can get away without glue?

Do you have a spot in the garden for it? I have seen clever use of mirrors on a garden fence make the space look bigger and feel more exotic.
