Turning fleece soakers into longies

This is my very first post on mothering!!! I've been a lurker for a couple of months now...


I have a ton of soakers laying around and I never really use them. I generally prefer to put my LO in longies. I'm a beginner with sewing and I'm wondering if any of you think it's doable? I wouldn't be able to match the pattern exactly, would probably just pick a solid color. It probably wouldn't be beautiful, but it would just be for around the house.

W the elastic around the legs, theyd most likely have to be hand-stitched on. Doable, yes. Worth the effort? Probably not. Pick up a couple pairs of fleece pants at Target or invest in a few pairs of babylegs. Much simpler.
