Any experience with newborn and CD Liners?

I'm due in May with #2 and we have finally decided to use cloth. We do not have a washer or dryer but I have no problem hand-washing them. One thing I'm wondering though, is if anyone has experience with biodegradable liners (such as Bummis)? If so did you use them for newborn breast milk poos and were they effective in catching it? I'm thinking,  if it works, it would be a great alternative to rinsing and hand-washing... which doesn't sound so fun for those. Also how many diapers did you go through per day?

They are pointless with NB poo sorry.. THe poo will go right through them your going to have to wash.  I'd count on going through at least 12 a day with my first the super pooper w easily did 20+ daily with my second it was more like 14..

FWIW though handwashing isn't really a big deal especially with BF stools. DO expect soem staining (sun works wonders) its hard to hand wash out breastfed "stains" but its not really gross.

Thanks for that, I was afraid that might be the case. I guess I'll have to go with the immediate rinse then probably soak each one. In a way though I'm glad I don't need to waste money on the things. I was thinking about 12-14 too, I'm sure I can expect one after each feeding like I did with dd. What about that first poop though? Geez I didn't even think about that. I've heard Olive oil will make it easier to wipe off but I didn't even factor that in when considering the cloth. Serious soaking I guess, maybe throw aways?

Honestly I had zero issues with the Meconium stools it washed right out and wipes off the baby easily.

We never rinsed DS' bf poo either. We just threw the diapers straight in the pail from off his bottom, and sunned when we could. The diapers look great.
