My baby girl, May, is 12 days old and has been very fussy and seems to be having tummy troubles since birth. Some nights are worse than others, where she cries for hours and not much seems to soothe her.
Here are some details about the issues/symptoms we are dealing with:
-gassy/farty since birth-MUST be burped--was spitting up a little bit the first week
-a bit of fussing while nursing, nursing every hour during the day and every 2 hours through the night.
-foamy/frothy/bubbly poo, which turned green yesterday (was bright orange
before)
-she seems uncomfortable, and seems to be crying in pain at times. Sometimes she
is soothed by us rubbing her back, nursing and holding in a position that puts
pressure on her tummy (which is really gurgly too).
Last night I stopped taking my prenatal b/c I read the iron could bug her, she had a great night, so perhaps this is contributing to her tummy troubles?
I have been nursing on only one side for a full 2-3 hours instead of switching back and forth based
on reading about fore/hindmilk imbalance.
I am is also gluten free for the past few years and now dairy and soy free since the day after she was born (since I have read that this is a common issue with babies). I'd do anything that might help improve the situation. If you've got any recommendations or similar experiences, I'd love to hear them!
Thanks in advance!
