She's seriously driving me crazy. She's 16 years old, is in great health (all labs were perfect at her last vet visit). All day long she follows me around the house, meowing. If I'm in the kitchen, she's meowing for food. In the bathroom, she wants me to turn on the water faucet. She follows me from room to room, meow, meow, meow. I try and pet her and give her attention throughout the day, but she doesn't seem to want that. What the heck does she want????? Gotta go, someone furry is standing by the kitchen sink, meowing, and giving me the stink-eye!!!

My thought is she just wants more attention, too. Â But if it's a new thing (ie: she hasn't always been needy) then maybe she is trying to tell you something else. Â Anything changed recently? Â Anything she could be jealous of?
Â
I had a cat growing up who was uber needy. Â You couldn't even pee or shower alone! Â Currently, I have what you could call a bit of a "grumpy old man" cat, (only wants cuddles on his terms, where, when and how he wants them and only from me or DH and he growls at anyone else). Â That being said, ever since we brought DS home from the hospital he has gotten very needy and cuddly. Â So hence the question about things maybe changing at home?

Well, we did just move to a new house in a new state. Maybe that's it.  Lulu is a Grumpy Old Lady cat! All attention, on her terms. She got grumpy the day we brought DS home from the hospital 9 years ago and hasn't been the same since. The addition of 2 more kids did nothing to improve her mood LOL.
