Thanks for the welcomes!
Im feeling pretty good. Had an uneventful pregnancy which is always a blessing. Little man's been head down for weeks now which is wonderful even if I do have to put up with feet in the ribs and bum in the lungs. ;)
Im looking forward to this homebirth IMMENSELY. With my dd, I was scared into an induction at 41 weeks. (dead babies, placentas breaking down, yet teh dr refused to give me a NST). Being 18 at the time and pregnant with my first child, I agreed to it. As far as inductions go, it went well. My "active labor" was only about 5 hours with me jumping from 3 cm to pushing in 20 minutes. Hated my OB though, she cut an episiotomy with me screaming at her NOT TO CUT ME. She cut me without my permission, without anesthetic, and I guess she didnt realise I wasnt numb bc she started to try to stitch it up and I was jumping off the table! (This is my only worry about this birth- tearing along that damned scar.) After that experience of having an OB who didnt listen and I didnt feel a connection with, I knew my next would be a homebith. I even decided this this is the hospital with my dd.
So needless to say, Im expecting a significantly different experience this time around. My dh is planning on catching- the thought of it just melts my heart. <3
