Is it normal for the length of your cycle to get a little crazy the first few times after you've given birth? I got my period back in September, about a week before Jude's 1st birthday. The next period was 35 days later. The third one was about 33 days later, then in December, abut 31-33 days after the one in November. So it shoulda' been here again at the very end of January but it hasn't come yet. I've taken several pregnancy tests (the last one was yesterday, at about 8 days late so I know I wasn't testing too early, plus 2 of those tests were the First Response which say they can be used 6 days before a missed period) and they've all been negative. I've been a little stressed lately but I don';t think it was enough to stop a period (the stress was waiting for my husband's college transcript to be sent to the university he's applying to; they almost didn't make it on time...I was freaking out a little but again, I don't think I was stressed enough to have that much of an effect). I can't remember what day I got my LMP but I know it was after Christmas and before New Year's Eve so I'm getting a little anxious.
So do cycle lengths take a while to get back to a "schedule" or should I go see my midwife?
