How long do you plan to EP?

For all of you EPers out there, how long do you plan to keep it up?

A little background:  I did CLW with my DS and planned the same for DD, but she had a brain injury (due to a near-SIDS event) at 4 months and has been fed with a g-tube ever since. Yadda Yadda, I started saying I would wean her at 2, but now that is less than 2 months away and I am not sure how I feel about it.  I blend real foods with my breastmilk and feed it through her tube ( I refuse to feed her any type of formula).

So, for those of you who are EPing oral eaters, when do you plan on stopping and why?

My DD is much younger than yours (7 weeks) and I'm EPing. I plan to get her through next winter so about 15-16 months. I'm very lucky to have a great supply so far so I will probably stop pumping around 12 months and feed her my frozen stash from there.

yeahthat.gif DD is only 3.5 months, but I plan to pump until 1 yr and then use my freezer stash until it runs out after that. I already have about 300 oz in the freezer after only 2.5 months, so I should have a lot by then to last awhile.

Hey, not a current EP'er but I wanted to tell you that I think it's great you've made it this long!  My goal was 2 years and I (sadly) fell shy of that by over a year.  And I was also devastated when I realized DD would never tolerate a blended diet.  You are awesome!

Well I did it.  I have stopped pumping, we made it to 2 yrs old.  I am a little sad knowing I am done with this stage in my life, but I am enjoying the extra time not attached to the pump.  I would like to share a funny pumping story for the EPers out there.  I took my son to the livestock show, and they had a cow milking demonstartion.  When they hooked the cow up to the pump, my DS yells, look mommy that cow has a breast pump just like you.  I must admit I was a little jealous to know that the cow only has to be hooked up to the pump for 5-7 minutes 2-3 times a day and will pump more than their calf could ever drink in a day.
