Little background:
Last Thursday, our Midwife came for our 17w appt and even though Eddie's heartbeat registered on her doppler, we couldn't HEAR it. So she came back Tuesdat, and in a nerve-wracking appointment, STILL couldn't hear it.
We were only planning on doing the 20w anatomical U/S, but she suggested we get an appointment ASAP for a U/S. The Dr's office she recommends couldn't see me until next week. However, when I shared the situation with the VERY KIND receptionist...she was able to fit me in Wednesday. At 3.
So yesterday at 3, Daniel, my mom, and of course, I went to the Dr for a somewhat "emergency" U/S.
The moment we saw that little head move, there were three crying people with one very cool Doctor.
He's dating the baby at about 2 weeks younger than my dates suggest. Not really goign to argue...but I don't think I completely agree.
However, even though I only wanted to do ONE U/S...he asked us to come back in a month just to make sure Eddie is progressing and my placenta rises as it should. My MW is totally on-board with the 2nd U/S.
Isn't he so cute!!!!
