DH and i just returned from a great little babymoon to Puerto Rico (well the first few days were great). I am 30 wks pg. Since day 1 we were there my stomach never felt right. Nothing I ate seemed to agree with me, even basic plain oatmeal and fruit (which I eat almost everyday at home). I normally don't have any stomach issues. The last 24 hours i got nausea and then extreme stomach cramping followed by (TMI) the big D for about 4 hours.
Â
I think I was really scared at the time b/c I honestly couldn't tell if I was having contractions or just stomach/gas pains b/c I am not entirely sure where my stomach and intestines are these days...
So, I stayed hydrated and the baby has been moving fine...but i have lost 4 pounds. Should I be worried that the baby was impacted or was it more likely water and my extra fat (even though I am a healthy pg weight, i'm sure i had a few pounds i could spare :)
Â
My next appt isn't for 2 weeks. I try to measure my fundus at home but i'm not always sure i'm doing it right. I am nervous it would have gone down in the last few days. Would that be cause for alarm? Do you think I will catch up in the last few weeks here?
Â
I am thankful this lasted less than 24 hours and i was able to stay hydrated even though I was miz for a while there. (Pains were worse than labor I swear!).
Thanks!
