What size prefolds inside a wrap cover?

I'm planning on switching DS' diapers to a lot of prefolds and Bummis covers. DS is currently about 22lbs and using premium prefolds when they are snappied on him. But laying flat in a wrap - what do people do? It seems like the premiums would be quite bulky - they have to be folded down. Do you use infant prefolds laid into a wrap?

I snappi under my wraps shrug.gif DD is wearing premium prefolds, and they do have to be folded down. if you're planning on tri-folding maybe diaper-rite or GMD prefolds that wouldn't need folded down?

We use premium prefolds and just fold down the front pull the sides in over the front like a flap and snappi.

DS is only 17lbs, so this may not work for you.  We're still using the infant size prefolds and folding it in 3 and just putting it in the middle of a Thirsties wrap.  FWIW I personally prefer Thirsties wraps to Bummies, having tried both.  If you're DS is too big for the infant size prefolds to work, maybe try doing a twist fold, snappi-ing closed and then putting the cover over top?  This is what we did with the infant size when DS was a new born and it worked fine.

I gave all but one of my infant prefolds to SIL - not thinking I'd need them. That was before I realized that DS' rashes were due to PUL, but that nylon covers work (more breathable).  Bummis has a nylon wrap (the Original) and I've picked a couple up - but they only work with a tri-folded flat or prefold.

I wish I hadn't given those prefolds away - ah well. They're getting good use!
