Help me Help a Friend

I've got a friend at work whose wife is about 10w behind us.  She had an ultrasound and it is showing one of the baby's kidneys to be much larger than the other.  Anyone have any ideas re:this?

It's hard because it's one of those things that could be something, or nothing. Time will tell. I've known people who have had measurements that were 'off' and turned out to be totally fine after birth. It could be a bit of reflux, where the urine backs up into the kidney making it distended.

When you get news like that, I think it's important to focus on the one thing that the ultrasound really told them- they have a live baby. The rest will sort itself out in time
