New York Times reports that women will be able to pay for breast pumps & supplies with their flexible spending accounts or to deduct these expenses.

This is pretty awesome! Spread the news to new, working or pumping moms!

Anyone know a link to what they define as "supplies"? I expect to get a pump from WIC, but I still need bottles and milk storage bags. I have a little bit of money left on my HSA from last year (I'm on different insurance w/o HSA contributions this year) which I'd like to use...

:)  I was just coming to post this.  I really hope it helps, and help send a positive message about breastfeeding out there.

Unfortunately, it seems to make people upset (some politicans, ect.)  that there might be tax breaks on pumps, so it might not be sending such a 'positive' message.  That makes me so upset.  It is ok to subsidize WIC and give free formula, but it's not ok to encourage mothers to breastfeed their children by making it easier to work and breastfeed?  How is a tax break on pumps making us more of a 'Nanny' state, when the govt. is already steering poor women to use formula instead of 'free' breastmilk to feed their babies?

It looks like they haven't issued the official regulation yet. If I find anything else, I'll pass it along here. But maybe the phone number Samstress found has good information.
