I had some bleeding at the first of my pregnancy and I just went to the hospital to be checked out. They did blood work, and internal exam, and an ultrasound on me and everything was ok, but it made me feel better to just be checked out. (my little one will be 10 weeks old monday...and i didn't have any complications with here during the pregnancy after my bleeding at 6 weeks) If you don't feel like you want to spend the time at the ER then I would call your doctor as soon as possible on monday. That way they can check your levels to make sure that your beta levels are rising like they are supposed to (you'd have to have two blood tests done one one day and then the other two days later to make sure your levels are doubling at least)  I hope that you find out what's going on and sending out sticky vibes!!! I know it's scary, just don't worry yourself because it will make you feel worse.

Spotting around 5 weeks is very common. It is likely just implantation bleeding. Around 30% of women bleed at some point during pregnancy for no "known" reason and everything turns out to be alright. I am in that 30% and have spotted during each of my 3 pregnancies. However, I would definitely call your healthcare provider and let them know what is going on. They will be able to reassure you and tell you what to watch-out for that could indicate a more serious problem.

Don't freak out but definitely get checked out.

I just had a huge miscarriage scare, long story short I went to the ER to request Cytotec because I was certain I was miscarrying and ended up getting to see and hear my baby's heartbeat for the first time.
Â
I know now better then ever that bleeding and cramping do not always equal miscarriage thankfully!

Hoping all goes well for you!
