Who's Left? Roll call! - Page 14

I'm still here too.  My midwife checked me today, 3 cm 50%  although with my last one I went another two weeks like this. We'll see what happens.

Woot! Go Narmowren!

I dragged DD along on a 2 1/2 hour grocery shopping trek in Wal-Mart yesterday after I picked her up from her enrichment program. Walking around actually didn't get uncomfortable until about the last half an hour before we checked out. I spent half our food stamps in one blow, stocking everything up so we won't have to go again for a while. It's the store where I work, so I got plenty of "not yet?'s" and "when you going to have that baby?"

But I also know who the fastest cashiers are, so I got out of there with a cart and a half of groceries, about 3/4 of which was ad matched and included a WIC check for produce, in near record time.

I've started timing contractions whenever I'm sitting down with the computer. They're still not regular, but more frequent, regardless of whether I'm sitting or moving, so maybe SOMETHING is happening?

I bought castor oil today, too. If I'm not in labor by bedtime Saturday, I'm going to use it. Not looking forward to that, but it's a last ditch effort before having to face a last office visit with my midwife and calling the OB to set up an appt. with her.

I'm chickening out on the castor oil, at least tonight. I have been having a lot more contractions today, and while most of the day they didn't seem particularly regular, the last couple of hours they've been coming every 4-6 min. I'm hoping this is a good sign. I also didn't sleep very well last night--it didn't seem to be from being overhot or my bladder, so it could well have been contractions waking me up.

Send me good labor vibes, I really need them!

Good Luck Ravin - the threat of in duction worked for DD, hopefully it works for you too!

Will be soon for me...I predict today or tomorrow.  I had a lot of contractions that I had to breathe through last night, so my body is definitely gearing up for the real thing.  Lots of ELVs to you, Ravin (if you haven't given birth already) and for the few others who are still waiting hug2.gif
