Thanks for the new thread :)

Getting ready to O... possibly on Valentine's day or the next day. Would be kind of cool to conceive on V-day but it's hard to think about TTC right now ...

my 15 year old step-daughter (and my heart) was just admitted to the psych ward for depression, anxiety and mood disorder. She has been having thoughts of suicide and is having a very difficult time at school and home. She has been struggling with her sexuality since she was 12. We are completely supportive of her but unfortunately, not everyone in her life is and she's having a very difficult time. She could use some thoughts... as could we as we struggle through this mess. My heart is breaking. :( We've been fighting for custody of her for the last month anyway... she wants to be here but her mom is fighting it and this is just adding to this mess right now. *sigh*

Thanks for the new thread!!

Attached:  My heart goes out to your step-daughter and the rest of your family! I went through that feeling too when I was her age and my family got close to having to admit me.  So I do understand her struggles and I hope that everything gets better soon!  I also wish you guys well with the custody battle.  I understand how hard that is too!!!

jojo:  I did take a FRER this morning with SMU and it was neg so i'm not too worried right now...but me and DH DTD without protection again last night (kinda just got caught up in the mood lol) and so I'm still scared to even try to use the provera if there was ANY chance that I could have ovulated at any point this weekend because I don't want to hurt a babe that could be. (is that crazy sounding?)

Wishing everyone FERTILE thoughts!!!!

DomerJen: Congrats to you!!

A2E: Holding you and your family in the light, as the Quakers say.  That is some really tough stuff -- my childhood best friend went through some similar issues in high school and college and in her early 20's, but she has been doing really well for the past 12+ years.

AFM: 14DPO and holding steady, I guess.  My temp has been back and forth between 98.1 and 98.2 all week but today it was down to plain ol' 98.0 so I'm thinking this is the beginning of the end.  I should start my pre-AF spotting today or tomorrow.  But, boy, wouldn't it be exciting if tomorrow it was back up a bit and there was no spotting...

Thanks everyone - Please move me to BFP. :)

DomerJen...   Congratulations!!!! May your pregnancy be full of love and laughter!

Attached2Elijah...   I am very sorry to hear about your step daughter. I hope the hospital is able to help her. When she comes home (hopefully to you), you should see if there are any LGBT groups for young teens in your area. Being around other kids with whom she doesn't have to hide her sexuality may help her get through the depression.

Everybody have a Reproductive Valentne's Day!

Attached: I am sorry to hear that. I'm glad she has some support from you guys, that must mean a lot in the scheme of things.

brichole: Fertile thoughts to you too!

DomerJen: Congratulations!

I am CD12, supposed to ovulate on CD14/Feb. 15th so I'm trying to get as much in as I can!

A2E, what a difficult time! I hope this is a turning point for your step daughter, and it's all smooth sailing from here.

not_telling, I've got my fingers crossed for you!

DomerJen, CONGRATS!!!

AFM, the kids are visiting their paternal grandparents so it's far too quiet around here. SO won't be home until late tonight. I'm on CD13, and it's probably a week or so until I O.

So, i think i've decided to just bite the bullet and go ahead and start charting to see where my temps stand right now.  I don't guess it would hurt anything lol.  I know that things won't be completely "normal" but hey....at least I can see what my temps will do with the way that I wake up with my DD!

I can't believe that my LO will be 10 weeks old tomorrow! She's growing way too fast for my likings lol.  She's 10lbs and 21 1/2 in long now!  (She started out 6lbs 6oz and 17 1/2 in long so I think that's pretty good progress so far!!) She def. doesn't miss a meal these days! HA!   She is sleeping most of the night now too.  She only wakes up 1 time during the middle of the night so I think that's pretty good for a 10 week old!

That is excellent for a 10 week old!!  My 6 1/2 YEAR old still wakes up once, usually between midnight and 3AM 2 or 3 times a week! All she needs is a hug though...

I am pretty excited about it :)  One of my friends who had a baby 11 days after I did said that her ped. wants her son to be sleeping all the way through the night without getting up that one time during the night by the time he's 3 months old.  I think that's a lot to expect out of a baby but whatever.  I enjoy getting to see my little one that one time during the night since I've come back to work!!!

That IS a lot to expect from a baby! In my mind "through the night" is from midnight - 5am... any 5 hour stretch, really. It's natural for some people to be more wakeful at night than others. The sound-sleeping types who are out within 5 minutes of hitting the pillow and can sleep through an earthquake (or Scotland the Brave blaring from their farking iPhone at WTF o'clock in the morning, like my SO) are seen as the norm. People like DD and me, who wake up at any unusual noise, or from a dream, or if we're itchy (DD has eczema) are seen as having a problem, and I don't really believe it's true. The only time I go into a deep sleep is if I'm sick/on medication. I don't ever say "Go to sleep." I say "It's time for bed." and "Your body needs to rest." Expecting DD to sleep is almost a guarantee that it won't happen for her. I used to get so stressed out TRYING to sleep, but it's easy to just be restful. I think a lot of people have serious struggles with their kids at bedtime, simply because it's an impossible expectation for some people to just go to sleep. Trying to sleep is extremely frustrating!! ...oh my... did I just go on a rant? Maybe I need a nap!

So after avoiding Fertility Friend all this time (cuz it kind of sounded annoying the way it seems to have a tendency to put things like coverlines and ovulation in the wrong places), I decided I'd like to have a chart link to share with y'all as I go through this journey.  I don't know how it gets linked to my name on the first page, but here it is:

Please add my chart thumb.gif

Awww, thanks. orngtongue.gif  I was actually just thinking how it's these last couple days before the anticipated AF that suck worse than the rest of the 2WW.  Obsessively checking the toilet paper for any little tiny sign of pre-AF spotting.  Knowing that within 24-48 hours I'll know whether this week of cramps was regular PMS or something else.  Sigh...

In other news, we're making lobster tails for the first time and DH kinda butchered them...literally.  I'd say a poorly written recipe shoulders the most blame, but I think there was also a cooking vocab issue.  DH does most of the cooking 'round here, but I do most of the food-related reading (I've been a foodie since I was a child).  Recipe said to split the lobster tails and DH thought that meant cut them completely in half.  Oh well...guess it'll make it easier to get the meat out when they're done cooking.

Brichole:  Nope I don't think it is crazy at all! Sounds like you are just looking out for a potential little growing bean:)  And as far as your 10 week old only waking once...sounds AWESOME.  My 22 month old wakes all.the.time.  I swear she slept better when she was only a few months old!  (we co-sleep and it is the "nani's" that she wants all the time)

A2E:  oh lots of hugs for you and your family during this time!

The "positive" was on an IC and the next day when I tested again, I used 2 ICs and an FRER... all negative.  All were FMU (the positive and negatives).  I don't have any idea what the problem was, unfortunately.  I started spotting yesterday too... and had a some more today.  I expect AF to be here full-force tomorrow.  gloomy.gif

I'm going to call an acupuncturist tomorrow and give that a try.

MommyMatsumoto...   I don't really believe in false positives. So I hope that your tests today were just wonky. Did you use FMU? Different tests? Was there anything different that could explain it?

MommyMatsumoto...   I am very sorry. Big hugs!

Hi everyone - thanks for all the kind words on the previous thread. A few new BFPs while I was away - yay! Congrats all around! Sorry to hear about AF showing up for others. Attached2Elijah, so very sorry to hear about your daughter. Wishing your family lots of love, strength, and peace.

I do have an update - I am officially diagnosed with a prolactinoma (a non-scary tumor that causes elevated prolactin, basically). I've just started medication for it that is supposed to work very well. I'm supposed to stay on it till I get a positive hpt. Those are some drug instructions I like very much. :) So, I guess I am waiting to O, although I am knocking on wood as I say that. I'm charting my temps, counting the day I started the meds as CD1.
