kombucha & house flies

I've been brewing kombucha for about 6 months & have just made the connection that our house fly problem may be related. Do you think? My confusion, though, is that the flies are not near the brew but rather all over the house. Not fruit flies....regular ol' annoying flies zipping around.

Could this be related? And if so, is there a solution to the fly problem? They are SUPER annoying & even though I keep a fairly clean & organized home, it makes my house feel dirty, ya know?

HELP!

Hmmmm, venus flytrap. Definitely will consider. thumb.gif

The only reason I'm thinking it's related to the kombucha is that we've never had a fly problem & especially not in the winter. Kombucha definitely attracts fruit flies in the summer so I was wondering if it could attract fly flies, too? I'm not certain which is why I'm asking!
