Making multiple-herb infusions

I have a weird question...so, I want to make a nettle + red clover herbal infusion.  I'm currently doing about 1C nettles to 2 quarts of water.  If I want to add in the red clover, do I have to add more water and than drink twice as much, or can I just put 1C nettle and 1C red clover in 2 quarts of water take the same amount every day?  Is there a limit for how much herb you can infuse into a certian amount of water?  Sorry if this is confusing....:P

You can add it and be fine.  The general rule I've been told is 2 cups of C/S herbs to 4 cups of water is the max.  That's how I make my nettle and RRL infusions- 1 cup nettle, 1 cup RRL, water to fill the mason jar.

I make my infusions with 1oz of herb per quart of water so if I mix them, I just adjust the weight, as needed. I used to actually weigh them out but after doing it once or twice, you quickly know what 1oz looks like. Roots weigh more than leaves which weigh a bit more than flowers. But then again, I don't think it really matters much. smile.gif Have fun!

sounds good!  I'm trying about 1 oz of each in a 4 qt mason jar :)
