Teething Leading to SLEEP PROBLEMS.....now what???

Our baby slept very very well from the first month through till just about two months ago (age 9 1/2 months) when the top teeth came in.....the bottom2 teeth were no trouble at all. But still, that was just a couple of  nights getting up 2-3 times more than his usual 2 ten minute feedings....and lasted a bit longer too.  This past month started a week stretch of horrible nights with the 5th tooth keeping us up for hours and going long long stretches of not eating or wanting anything in his mouth at all.  Now the tooth is in....and we have not had a decent night's sleep since.  Rather than his 2 times a night ten minute feedings, we are having 3-5 times up.....lasting anywhere between 10 min to an hour and  a half or more..... from quiet fussing to crying, to screaming to....you name it. I've tried bringing him to bed with us(me)...which sometimes seems to work, but not all the time.  I'm just wondering if anyone else experiences what I consider a long term sleep change at this age?  I don't think each night is due to teeth. It's each night too, not scattered.

I should probably mention that he's fine during the day, but his naps are scattered.  When we are home, he naps for 1-3 hours around noon. (he gave up a morning nap over three months ago!)  When out and about, he sleeps in the car and that's it...so probably no more than an hour.  I do think he does better at night when he has a longer nap....but I don't see a way to 'make' him nap longer.....sigh...I never had this issue with my other two.  This little guy is soooooo different!  But adorable....

In reading other posts, now I think maybe he is still teething, though I don't see or feel anything coming through...still, I don't know what to do to improve sleep.  I don't like giving ibuprofren much and I can't do homeopathic as he already takes a homeopathic remedy for soemthing else.....sigh
