the baby is sideways AFTER seeing a chiropractor!

My baby has been mostly low and head down since I was around 24 weeks.  But after seeing a chiro recommended by a few doulas who is certified in webster, the baby started to be sideways.  It has now been six days and he is still sideways.  I am now 32 weeks pregnant and very concerned.

She did not even ask me which way the baby was when she adjusted me.  I don't know what is normal with this technique.

Should I fire this chiro? It was my first time seeing one since I've been pregnant.  I have never had a good experience with chiropractors in the past and always suspected they were baloney, but went because so many doulas recommend them.

Any advice is appreciated.

its possible the ligaments in your pelvis loosened up a little after going to the chiropractor and changed how your uterus was being suspended in there.. the chiro helps me a lot with my pelvis but like you I'm a tad suspicious

did the "adjustment" help in regards to whatever issue brought you there?

I'd be alarmed a little too! But i think you've got a lot of time to correct this still

this baby (Im only 23 weeks) loves herself some transverse lie which really aggravates my pelvis for some reason

doing forward inverses on stairs always gets her head down for at least a day and I intend to get more consistent with it if shes persistent on being sideways as things progress...I picked this up on spinning babies, they have a lot of interesting info

oh...and if the chiro was webster certified I wouldn't hesitate to contact them and ask what the heck too

webster is all about malpositioned babies ya know?

I see a chiro and he never asks what position the baby is in.  In fact when I have seen others they haven't either.  Of course I go there for back and hip pain and not because of how my babies sit.  It could be a coincidence that your baby moved.  There are lots of reasons babies are in different positions, not just because of how our bones or ligaments are.  I would think if it was that easy to move a baby, there would never be a baby in any other position but head down kwim?

Well thanks you guyds, I talked to the chiro and she said to see my midwife before I do another appt with her; it sounds like she herself isn't sure what's going on so I am thinking I might stop seeing her...I;ll know tomorrow let me see what my midwife says.
