Sorting forums by replies or views?

I used to be able to do this. Is there a way to do this with the new layout? There are so many really good threads to read and find basic research on, etc. For example, if I'm just "getting started" in a new forum, like home birth or something, I'd sort by views, or replies, and find the most popular posts, and start reading those. Now to find those kind of posts I have to know what words to search for.

I may not be making sense, because DD is napping and I am thinking/typing feverishly. But I do miss that old feature.

Hi, we really don't have this particular ability at this point in time. We don't have "hot" thread icons for threads with a lot of posts since the last time you've visited, but if this is something members are wanting, please post to let us know. We can request this be developed as a future feature. 

We're going to be working on our tagging feature soon, and I hope this feature will help in search needs for those getting started. We're also going to be working on getting basic forum and Mothering content transferred into our Wiki feature which should also serve as a good starting place for those new to the topics.

Forum Icon	What It Means
	This indicates there is new content within a particular forum since your last visit.  You can click this button to mark the forum as read.
	This indicates that there is no new content in a particular forum since your last visit.
	This indicates that there have been new posts written in the given thread since your last visit.  You can click this button to go to the first new post.
	This indicates that there have been no new posts written in the given thread since your last visit.
