i need a new science curriculum

DD1 will be starting 3rd grade next year, and i really need to get a new science curriculum. i am looking at the alpha omega life pac, and at the apologia stuff. my daughter really loves workbooks, which leads me to the life pac, but i will also have 2 more in school in the next few years, and the apologia is so good with multi level learning. has anyone tried either of these? thanx in advance,

Sarah

If she likes workbooks, have you looked at Singapore Science:  http://www.singaporemath.com/MPH_Science_s/66.htm

I don't know about the 3rd grade stuff, but the grade 1/2 was too easy in my opinion.

Sorry, I haven't any experience with the two you mentioned.

We just started Apologia Botany.  I think it's perfect for my 2nd grader, but definitely a bit advanced for my 6 yr old, kindergartener.  Much of it is over her head.  I do like it, but there are lots of big words, explained well, but even too much for me to really retain.  The activities and experiments are wonderful though!
