Why am I losing weight?

I'm sorry if this sounds like a silly question.. I'm losing weight and I'm not changing my diet or my activity level- so what gives?

Weight timeline...

March 2007- 112lbs, 5'3".  16 years old.

December 2007- 170lbs, 5'3", 17 years old, end of pregnancy.

June 2008- 120lbs, 5'4", 18 years old.

December 2009- 145lbs, 5'5", 19 years old, end of pregnancy.

June 2010- 130lbs, 5'5", 20 years old

**remained this weight for several months until December 2010**

January 2011- 120lbs 5'5", 20 years old

February 14th 2011 (today)- 115lbs.  What?

Should I be concerned about some underlying issue here?  I feel like 15lbs is too much weight loss for me in under 2 months!

Any ideas?  I'm a little worried.

Judging from your posts here, you've been under a great deal of stress in the past couple of months. That could be part of the issue.

That would have been my first guess, but I'm not sure stress alone can cause rapid weight loss.  I'm eating a LOT.  I graze all day.  I always have.  I eat a well balanced diet and get good protien and healthy fats... and admittedly quite a few NOT so healthy fats...

I

just don't want to lose anymore weight!  I woke up at 3am with DD who finally went back to sleep.  I ate a bowl of chicken soup I made earlier and about a cup of yogurt.  I'm now hungry again and am about to make myself some oatmeal.  I'm eating just fine... is my metabolism in hyper-drive?  Could I be diabetic?  I've woken up the past two nights with crazy thirst.  I wonder... hmm.  Going to maybe schedule myself a doctor's appointment.  Couldn't hurt!

Have you been tested for CD yet?

I would say stress as well.  When I was going through a bout of depression before my divorce I began to lose weight rapidly despite the fact I was eating fast food daily and probably didn't touch a vegetable for a year.

My vote is stress, which might be effecting your thyroid.  I know a girl with thyroid problems who eats whatever is infront of her.  Shes about 5'5" and MAYBE 100 pounds soaking wet on a GOOD day.

Question, what is CD?

CD = celiac disease

I would get your thyroid checked first and maybe get some other bloodwork done.  Do you have a good primary care doc you go to?

WCM -- didn't you just a week or so ago have a thread about needing to cut back nursing your 13mo, saying that your DD nursed constantly? I think that was you, anyway... My vote is that all your calories are going to your DD.  When I was at the height of nursing my DS I ended up 10 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight despite constantly stuffing my face. I was starving constantly. Just eat more! :)
