co-sleeping 2 y/o with another on the way

Its been a long while since I've posted, but I am really feeling the need to interact with like minded moms and I need some advice from you wise women...

My issue right now is that I am co-sleeping with my almost 2 year old, who wakes up 2-3 times a night still to nurse (which I know he doesn't need, he just does it out of habit). I am pregnant and even though I am very early on, I worry what we will do when baby is here. There is barely enough room for my husband, son and I in bed. I was thinking I would put a co-sleeper on my side of the bed...but what happens all night? Will I be flip flopping from side to side trying to feed one, then the other?

My son always sleeps with me, even during naps. I have found it impossible to get him down by himself for a nap, my hubby can do it though. Sometimes my son will take a whole nap on his own, but other times he wakes up knowing I'm not there and cries for me.

What can I do? I guess my goal here is to get him sleeping in his bed (or even a mattress on the floor in my room)..but only if he's really ready. I just don't know how to do it. Should I just leave it to my husband, since hes had success? We both work from home, so we are both always here...

I just need some guidance here...Thanks in advance!
