Happy moment/ Introduction

Hello single mammas. I am kind of new to this section, I haven't formally introduced myself. I was in an abusive marriage which I just left last month, so I am new to being a single mom. I was a SAHM for five years so I was not employed when leaving, STBX has been supporting me financially.

So today I had a little shake because STBX was talking about drastically reducing his financial contribution and on the same day some one whose baby I was supposed to watch full time canceled that. When I got home I checked my email and had a response from a really ideal WAH job I applied for three months ago and lost hope of getting. So that is a happy universe aligning story I wanted to share with you. I hope some of you can find hope in that.

FYI Be very very wary of ever counting on an abusive partner to provide financial support. Once they realize they are losing control they attempt to use finances as a means of control.

I totally agree with that. I witnessed a fine example of that today. I definitely don't want to count on him any more than I have to. I gave myself a month to decompress/resettle and now I am focusing my energy on becoming self sufficient. I have been thinking about it for a while, so I have some ideas and things in the works, but nothing reliable yet.... hopefully I will very soon!
