UK - narrow boosters

I'm looking for the narrowest boosters available in the UK.

We'll be visiting and will need to get 3 across in my parent's small cars, with two in boosters and another person in the middle - either the baby in a rear-facing carseat (being borrowed), my 11yo who is tall enough not to need a booster, or an adult. The two in boosters are a 6yo and a 9yo who both ride in graco high-back turbo-boosters at home. I'm afraid the wings on those will be too wide for a passenger to sit in the middle.

My understanding of the law is that both kids can sit in a backless booster (what they call a booster cushion) I can't remember the younger one's weight, but he's over 50lb. My 9yo may be tall enough to sit without a booster according to the law, but I have no way of knowing if he will fit correctly until we get there.

Any ideas?

www.toysrus.co.uk has dimensions on their site for some of the seats. The Graco high back one seems pretty narrow. Shop around though, they are defiantly not the cheapest place to get them. We have a Britax adventure which also seems pretty narrow.

Our local mothercare (www.mothercare.co.uk) has people trained to fit car seats and are happy to bring out the display models to try in the car, any chance your parents could get there are see what seats fit?

Thanks - good to know about mothercare and trying seats.

Will look on the tru.co.uk site. I saw a couple of really cheap ones on the kiddicare website, but had nothing to compare with!
