What would you do with this paper?

I found three reams of old copier paper in the closet in dh's home office. I opened some of it up and it's yellowed, so I think it must be really old. It feels dusty to the touch. We can't use it in the printer in that condition, and if it's dusty, I don't know that I want to give it to dd for drawing. I thought of putting it in the recycling, but it's so much paper. Is there another use I haven't thought of? We don't need scrap paper, we have plenty of it already. Should I just recycle it?

If it is not immediately usable to your family, toss it in the recycling or the trash.

Okay, I'll just recycle it. That's what I wanted to do, but sometimes I get stuck and need encouragement or permission to toss something.

I wish I could, but I don't live in a place where either of those is an option. I really wish it were, decluttering would be so much easier!

Oh man, I just opened up one of the other two to make sure it wasn't in good condition and it's not copier paper. They're unbound booklets of graph paper. They're in better condition than the copier paper and, well, they're unbound booklets of graph paper! How could I toss them? I have a thing for graph paper...and notebooks...so these are great.  Sigh, wish I hadn't opened it.

How about dropping them off at a local school?  I'm sure they could make use of it.

Unless your child has asthma or another respiratory condition I'd just dust 'em off and reuse for art projects. My kids can never have enough paper. Then you recycle it later after they've drawn on it!! Taking it by a school is a good idea, too.

I think if it is that dusty, if they don't already have a respiratory condition, they will by the time they have finished using the paper!

Lol, that's what I was thinking when I tossed the really dusty ream into the recycling bin. And now my dd is actually in hospital for pneumonia so I'm thinking I made the right decision.

The graph paper is in great condition, so we will use it. It'll just take a little longer to 'declutter' it than I had hoped.

Just remember how much you have been using it if it has been locked away for so long. Sometimes it is ok to let it go too.
