Long story short, he took our son (almost 7 months) 90 minutes away, for something school-related for his daughter. He got there and realized he didn't take the pumped milk.
Â
So, it's off to the drugstore for (bleh) formula, probably just a pack of ready-to-use, so he doesn't have to worry about water. Not that he'll actually willingly drink it (he's had maybe 9 ounces of formula in his life, when we needed to get him through some bad jaundice and weight loss but my milk hadn't come in yet).
Â
I know, it's not poison, and he's a very robust 7 months (over 20 pounds), not weeks, so going for maybe 8 hours without much to eat won't be too bad, and maybe he will just eat the formula if he's hungry enough. He doesn't take solids well yet (just plays with them, throws them at the dog, etc.), either.
Â
I'm not particularly mad at my husband--again, long story short, he's running for office and survived a primary LAST NIGHT so his mind is in 90 different places, and lord knows I've forgotten things (though obviously I don't have to remember milk). Still, sigh.
